Hello there! I'm Jeronimo Tamez, a 21 year old Filmmaker, Storyteller and Dungeon Master. I pride myself in my curiosity and passion to bring adventure and excitement to my ordinary world through my art. I like to use film and other media to explore my relationship to my sensitivity and the world.

Known to some as the courageous knight, I navigate insurmountable odds every day to express my creativity and imagination. My boundless passion and dedication to storytelling make me relate heavily with great stories like Lord of the Rings, How to Train Your Dragon, and most importantly Star Wars. Stories about courage, self discovery, growth and friendship. The characters in these stories are kind, empathetic and full of bravery that inspire and motivate me through every step of my life.

Being the huge nerd for Star Wars that I am, I dream of one day getting to work at Lucasfilm to add my personal experience to the legendary mythos. In the meantime, I’ve already made my own fan-film which has even won awards at online festivals (see below!).

My curiosity and proactivity in expanding my skills makes me great at using advanced digital workflows, industry software, and film equipment to create high-quality projects in professional, student and personal projects. I like working with others, drawing from everyone’s strengths to work effectively.

Life is challenging, but with courage, creativity, imagination and kindness, there’s no challenge I can’t overcome.

Film Studios Shift Leader, SCAD; Savannah GA - November 2024-Present
Submit daily equipment inventory, while multi-tasking to assist faculty, staff and students with equipment troubleshooting. Clean, pack, return and organize equipment in working order.

Film Editor, SCAD, Savannah GA - Fall 2022 - Present
Worked on over 10 student film projects, autonomously and collaboratively. Management of media encoding, metadata, file organization, and audio/script syncing. Attention to detail facilitates color correction and audio mixing. Archiving of files and transcoding of media.

Student Film Production Assistant, SCAD, Savannah GA - Fall 2022 - Present

Worked on multiple student productions as key production assistant, key grip and puppeteer. Engagement in a collaborative environment to assist production heads for project development. Led production activities and assisted with equipment setup.

Film Director, SCAD, Savannah, GA - Fall 2022 - Present
Directed and produced four projects, managing my team to work effectively. Development of screenplays and film production with management of industry standard equipment. Set operations lead to engage in creative, collaborative and enjoyable production environments.

Production Assistant, Nine Fingers Media; Mexico City - June-August 2023
Worked closely with the Director, Producer and Camera Operator during the production of three commercials and two music videos. Served as Clapper Loader and Script Supervisor, managed walkie talkies. Prioritized tasks in response to a high pressure environment.
