Filmmaker, Storyteller, Dungeon Master.
Film & TV Student at SCAD.
Huge Nerd.
Hello there! I'm Jeronimo Tamez, a 22 year old Filmmaker, Storyteller and Dungeon Master. I pride myself in my curiosity and passion to bring adventure and excitement to my ordinary world through my art. I like to use film and other media to explore my relationship to my sensitivity and the world. A strong creative spirit and analytical mind blend together in the editing room to tell deeply personal and emotional stories with well crafted narratives and style!

A way I bring adventure to my life is by seeing it through the lens of “the courageous knight,” imagining myself as one of the fictional heroes I look up to. It’s how I get the strength and motivation to navigate insurmountable odds every day; all to express my creativity and imagination. My boundless passion and dedication to storytelling make me relate heavily to great stories about courage, self discovery, growth, and friendship. Characters who are kind, empathetic, and full of bravery represent the person I want to be. Some notable examples are Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon, or Link from Legend of Zelda (characters I’ve even made cosplays of). Naturally, fantasy and Sci-fi are my favorite genres, because these stories explore all of the themes I admire most; through interesting settings with rich lore and worldbuilding. I’m a huge nerd; the story that has the biggest place in my heart is Star Wars (it has it all!).
For me, the art of filmmaking is the greatest canvas with which to explore and tell these kinds of stories. I’ve felt drawn to film since I was little. Watching the behind the scenes material that came in the DVDs made me feel like I could one day be a part of that world. My passion has led me to pursue a Film & TV major at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and for almost four years I have been expanding the limits of my filmmaking knowledge and skills, looking to find where I fit into this world.
Being the huge nerd for Star Wars that I am, I dream of one day getting to work at Lucasfilm to add my personal experience to the legendary mythos. In the meantime, I’ve already made my own fan-film which has even won awards at online festivals.

Life is challenging, but with courage, creativity, imagination and kindness, there’s no challenge I can’t overcome.

May the Force be with you!!!
